What is your current job?

I am in charge of auditing companies to ensure that their information security measures are properly implemented. Our clients are mainly overseas branches of Japanese companies, and communication is mostly in English. It is often difficult to work out the details of how to apply safe security conditions, but I am the type of person who likes to think and devise ways to get to the bottom of things. I am able to overcome challenges one by one while working with a sense of fulfillment.

What made you decide to join the company?

My job search was centered on three things: English, growth, and a free corporate culture. I looked for a job that could fulfill these three, and what interested me was consulting. I decided to join Digital Arts Consulting because I thought I could make use of my English skills. In fact, I am now able to do the job I wanted. In the future, I want to increase my knowledge and quickly become a full-fledged security expert.

If you had to describe Digital Arts Consulting in one word, what would it be?

I would say it's an open workplace. My seniors are always available for consultation, and I have opportunities to talk with seniors other than my immediate supervisor through the mentor system. Thanks to these connections, I never feel uneasy even when I work remotely. I am surrounded by people I can look up to and get inspired every day.
I know that sometimes things don't go well during job hunting and you may feel depressed, but your self-worth is not determined by whether you pass or fail. I would like all job hunters to believe in themselves and do their best.

What made you decide to join the company?

My job search was driven by two axes: consulting x IT. I have a liberal arts degree, but thinking about my long working life, I decided to challenge IT business from scratch.
While I was applying for a venture company in order to get to a level where I could take on responsibility as quickly as possible, I came to know about Digital Arts Consulting and was attracted by the passion of the senior employees, so I decided to join the company.

What is your current job?

I am involved in system renewal projects for client companies, helping them select and implement solutions. The most rewarding part of my job is when I am able to produce results. I am happy when, after repeated research and analysis within the team, we finally find the direction to the optimal solution. When I cannot see the light, I go back to the basics and think about what the customer is looking for. In this respect, it is important for me to build a relationship of trust with the customer, understand their intentions, and bring them to the landing site.

What is your current job?

Right now, I am involved in system development and solution maintenance and operation for an insurance company. I am a manager, so rather than being a player myself, my main job is to manage the progress information of the work that the members are in charge of and provide support for points that I do not understand.
Before changing jobs, I worked as a system integrator (SIer) at a major company, where I was in charge of system maintenance and development, data analysis, package product planning, etc. However, I wanted to provide more "value" to the world and our customers, so I became a consultant. I wanted to provide more "value" to the world and to our customers, so I changed my job to a consultant. Now, I am fulfilled with what I wanted to do here.

If you had to describe Digital Arts Consulting in one word, what would it be?

I think it is "an engine for growth. The company itself is in a phase of growth, and I have the impression that many of our members are riding on that engine, growing rapidly and benefiting from a virtuous cycle. Therefore, if you are thinking about joining the company and have something you want to accomplish, I hope you will make good use of Digital Arts Consulting. I am sure that you will achieve overwhelming growth.

What is your future career vision?

It is to become the best in Japan in some field. For example, in a specific field that is a cross between project management x insurance x AI, I aim to become a professional in such a way that people will say, "That person is the one to entrust this job to.

It is both interesting and difficult, but I find it very rewarding.

What was the deciding factor in joining the company?

I wanted to work internationally and applied to work for a global Japanese company, but I failed in the final selection process. When I reconsidered my future from scratch, I saw the option of becoming a consultant, which would allow me to broaden my experience by getting involved in a variety of industries. Digital Arts Consulting, in particular, had the kind of international work I wanted to do, so I decided to build my career there.

What are the interesting and difficult aspects of your job?

My team supports the enhancement of corporate security for personal information, etc., and the work to derive optimal regulations and operational systems is quite arduous. However, I feel that the more effort I put in, the more it leads to results and growth. The experience of being able to be involved in large-scale projects with discretionary authority from a young age is invaluable. I sometimes receive compliments from clients saying, "I can't believe you're only in your third year here. It is both interesting and difficult, but I find it very rewarding.

What is your career vision for the future?

Considering that I will be working for decades to come, I think it is important not to narrow my options now, but to work on the job in front of me first. In this regard, the information security profession is a field where there is a high scarcity, so I would like to continue to study and gain experience to increase my market value, which I hope to use to build my career.

What did you do in your previous job?

In my previous job, I was in charge of supporting the acquisition of global standards for information security and the construction and operation of cloud computing. I decided to change jobs because I wanted to make use of my experience there while further enhancing my expertise. I decided to join Digital Arts Consulting because I thought I would be able to work in the field of cyber security, where needs will increase in the future, and also make use of my language skills.

What is your current job and where is it interesting?

I am currently working to support the establishment of a Security Operation Center (SOC) to detect cyber security incidents and manage the response to incidents when they occur. Projects involve people with various specialties on a global scale, so careful communication is necessary. I am conscious of promoting the project while building a relationship of trust with the people involved. The interesting thing about my job is that I can grow. I learn something from every project, and it is fun to see the number of things I can do increase.

Message to those who are changing jobs

Some of the people changing jobs were originally engineers or salespeople, so they are not necessarily experienced consultants. There are various types of consultants, but what they all have in common is the ability to act in a "client-first" manner. I would be happy to work as a cyber security and information security professional with people who have such an attitude.
