We asked actual employees about the environment in which they work, their goals, and why they chose IdealRoute Consulting.

I am involved in collecting and proposing information that becomes the seeds for proposals in the pre-sales activities of companies selling and explaining software. I believe that challenging questions that have no answers is both a difficult and rewarding aspect of my work.
That is why I feel a sense of accomplishment when I attract the interest of a client and receive a positive response, which energizes me on a daily basis.
I wanted to acquire the ability to adapt to the changing times and evolve myself.
I thought that the consulting industry would allow me to acquire knowledge of a wide range of industries and to continue to hone my skills.
Because ID Root Consulting is a relatively small firm, it is easy for one person's efforts to affect the company's performance, and there is a culture of working with ambition, which I felt was the environment I wanted.
Before I joined the company, I thought there was a culture of constant competition and a bleak atmosphere because of the consulting industry. After joining the company, I felt a good gap in that I was able to build a cooperative relationship with my peers and other colleagues in the company. This does not mean that there is a lack of ambition within the company, but we are able to build a relationship that allows us to stimulate each other.

Currently, I am in charge of developing information security regulations for a domestic financial services company.
Specifically, I work with the client to determine the hierarchical structure of the organization's security documentation, and then update the content of the various security regulations.
The most rewarding part of my job is the sense of growth that comes from thinking things through.
For example, when I first joined the project, I saw the contents of the documents as nothing more than a list of letters. However, as I worked, I came to understand the contents of the documents, and now I am even able to guess the background behind the establishment of the regulations.
The deciding factors were the people I worked with and the work style. My goal is to become a specialist in charge of Japan's economic security. IDR was the perfect company for me to take the first step toward achieving that major goal.
For example, one of the attractive points is that I can learn professional work from security experts who have a lot of experience in major Japanese companies and foreign consulting firms. In addition, working on a project-by-project basis, which is unique to consulting firms, was an appropriate training environment for becoming a professional who needs extensive and diverse security knowledge.
We believe that job hunters sometimes have a hard time being confident about the path they are going to take. At times like this, it is important not to compare yourself with others, but to have a deep conversation with yourself about what you want to do.
I encourage you to act with a sense of purpose.

I am in charge of auditing companies to ensure that their information security measures are properly implemented. Our clients are mainly overseas branches of Japanese companies, and communication is mostly in English. It is often difficult to work out the details of how to apply safe security conditions, but I am the type of person who likes to think and devise ways to get to the bottom of things. I am able to overcome challenges one by one while working with a sense of fulfillment.
My job search was centered on three things: English, growth, and a free corporate culture. I looked for a job that could fulfill these three, and what interested me was consulting. I decided to join IdealRoute Consulting because I thought I could make use of my English skills. In fact, I am now able to do the job I wanted. In the future, I want to increase my knowledge and quickly become a full-fledged security expert.
I would say it's an open workplace. My seniors are always available for consultation, and I have opportunities to talk with seniors other than my immediate supervisor through the mentor system. Thanks to these connections, I never feel uneasy even when I work remotely. I am surrounded by people I can look up to and get inspired every day.
I know that sometimes things don't go well during job hunting and you may feel depressed, but your self-worth is not determined by whether you pass or fail. I would like all job hunters to believe in themselves and do their best.

Right now I mainly work with a team to build cloud security environments, and when I feel most accomplished is when I find a solution to a design that didn't work for several days.
I have also recently been introduced to python, which I find interesting to learn and use.
After receiving the job offer, I had a chance to talk with some IDR employees and sorted out the information, including my impression of them.
As a result, I decided to join IDR because it seemed to offer the best work-life balance and the most growth opportunities among the companies I received job offers from.
I recommend that you try to enjoy your work without feeling too much pressure.
I think you will easily feel at home because all of my coworkers are very kind.

I am engaged in work related to network security, and I find it rewarding in that I cannot see the end point of completing my studies.
Although this is only my first year in the workforce, I feel that it takes more than a few years of learning and experience just for the basics.
In addition, new technologies and products come out every day, so I never get bored.
The fact that the consulting and engineering areas of the security industry are completed within the company.
I decided to join the company because I felt that there is no other environment that covers these two areas and allows engineers to switch to consulting.
I want to gain experience as an engineer and eventually become a consultant.
There are actually people who have made the transition from engineer to consultant, so that is my goal.

I am helping a life insurance client improve their business operations through Microsoft 365.
As technology continues to develop, more and more things are becoming possible for companies to achieve, but there are still many sites where it is difficult to get around to that. Our role is to support those areas. One of the interesting points is that we are able to directly raise the potential of companies through client support.
In particular, since many companies have already introduced Microsoft 365 services, it is interesting to be able to increase what companies can do with the technology they already have.
Before joining the company, I felt uneasy because I had no experience as a consultant, but I was surprised that I could immediately start working on projects and be involved in client support from the time I joined the company. My senior manager communicates closely with me, so I can clear up any vague understandings, such as "What did I mean by this?" before moving forward step by step.
Since I have long experience in the back office, it is exciting to work as a consultant because there is almost no routine work.
I worked for a marketing company as an internal business improvement manager.
Including the above, I have had the longest career in back-office operations, operations for internal use.
Back-office work is routine, but as technology evolves, the way work is done changes.
It is undeniable that there are cases where systems that are supposed to help business operations become impossible to reverse.
However, there are many scenes where a small change in the way work is done can make a dramatic difference.
As an IDR's consultant, I am happy to be able to be involved in such opportunities to support such workplaces.

My job search was driven by two axes: consulting x IT. I have a liberal arts degree, but thinking about my long working life, I decided to challenge IT business from scratch.
While I was applying for a venture company in order to get to a level where I could take on responsibility as quickly as possible, I came to know about IdealRoute Consulting and was attracted by the passion of the senior employees, so I decided to join the company.
I am involved in system renewal projects for client companies, helping them select and implement solutions. The most rewarding part of my job is when I am able to produce results. I am happy when, after repeated research and analysis within the team, we finally find the direction to the optimal solution. When I cannot see the light, I go back to the basics and think about what the customer is looking for. In this respect, it is important for me to build a relationship of trust with the customer, understand their intentions, and bring them to the landing site.
Our mission is to achieve high performance and exceed our clients' requirements. Currently, the company itself is growing rapidly, and the number of employees has increased tenfold in the past four to five years. We will continue to change and have the potential to expand globally, so if you have the spirit to take on challenges, we would love to work with you!

In my previous job, I was in charge of supporting the acquisition of global standards for information security and the construction and operation of cloud computing. I decided to change jobs because I wanted to make use of my experience there while further enhancing my expertise. I decided to join IdealRoute Consulting because I thought I would be able to work in the field of cyber security, where needs will increase in the future, and also make use of my language skills.
I am currently working to support the establishment of a Security Operation Center (SOC) to detect cyber security incidents and manage the response to incidents when they occur. Projects involve people with various specialties on a global scale, so careful communication is necessary. I am conscious of promoting the project while building a relationship of trust with the people involved. The interesting thing about my job is that I can grow. I learn something from every project, and it is fun to see the number of things I can do increase.
Some of the people changing jobs were originally engineers or salespeople, so they are not necessarily experienced consultants. There are various types of consultants, but what they all have in common is the ability to act in a "client-first" manner. I would be happy to work as a cyber security and information security professional with people who have such an attitude.

Right now, I am involved in system development and solution maintenance and operation for an insurance company. I am a manager, so rather than being a player myself, my main job is to manage the progress information of the work that the members are in charge of and provide support for points that I do not understand.
Before changing jobs, I worked as a system integrator (SIer) at a major company, where I was in charge of system maintenance and development, data analysis, package product planning, etc. However, I wanted to provide more "value" to the world and our customers, so I became a consultant. I wanted to provide more "value" to the world and to our customers, so I changed my job to a consultant. Now, I am fulfilled with what I wanted to do here.
I think it is "an engine for growth. The company itself is in a phase of growth, and I have the impression that many of our members are riding on that engine, growing rapidly and benefiting from a virtuous cycle. Therefore, if you are thinking about joining the company and have something you want to accomplish, I hope you will make good use of IdealRoute Consulting. I am sure that you will achieve overwhelming growth.
It is to become the best in Japan in some field. For example, in a specific field that is a cross between project management x insurance x AI, I aim to become a professional in such a way that people will say, "That person is the one to entrust this job to.
